Shalamar Hospital is a much needed addition to the list of good healthcare institutions. It is really commendable that commercial and industrial community through their own resources have established such a facility for the general public. It is indeed a hospital with most modern facilities. Efforts to surpass others in both talent and in equipment guarantees bright future. Shalamar Hospital is a major health care provider to the residents of Lahore, a historic city with a population over 7 million. It is a non-profit trust hospital which was established in 1982 by leading industrialists under the banner of Businessmen Hospital Trust. It caters to the needs of a large section of population who have low income and cannot afford expensive medical treatment. A substantial amount is allocated each year to provide free and subsidized treatment to the poor and needy patients in the hospital and through the mobile dispensary in villages adjacent to Lahore. Shalamar Hospital maintains excellent standards of healthcare and is fully equipped for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. New expansion projects are underway, to upgrade facilities with a view to meet needs of growing number of patients. I look forward to your support in fulfilling objectives of the hospital.
